Will New Universal Studios Ride Be Transformative? Nov 14th 2011, 17:12 One of the more anticipated park attractions debuting next year (and there are a few doozies) is Transformers: The Ride opening at Universal Studios Hollywood. While I don't know all of the specifics, the Universal folks have revealed enough info -- 3-D! High-def! 4-D sensory effects! Big honkin' animatronic cars and trucks! That transform into robots! -- to make this Pavlovian park nut start salivating. The California attraction won't open until the spring, and Universal hasn't been particularly forthcoming with the finer details. But we won't have to wait too much longer to find out what's under the hood. Sister park Universal Studios Singapore is opening its own version of Transformers: The Ride in early December. Since this is the age of the Internets, there will be rider reports available. Until then, here is what I do know about the new Transofrmers ride.
