On a Wing and a Player Nov 2nd 2011, 16:17 Is the concept of a "wing" coaster, in which the train's seats are arranged to the left and right of the track rather than over it, more of a gimmick than anything else? I don't know. And I won't know until I try one of the two new wing coasters (the first of their kind in North America) debuting next year at Six Flags Great America and Dollywood. But we can all get a sense of the ride experience via the two preview videos of Wild Eagle, the coaster coming to Dolly Parton's Tennessee park. The point-of-view video, especially, gives an intriguing you-are-there perspective. The park also released a general preview video of the new coaster today. Whether the seating configuration is a gimmick or not, the coaster looks like it's going to be a load of fun. Read more about Wild Eagle.
