Here's an odd pairing: a wine tasting event and...Six Flags? The beverage of choice at Great Adventure, the Six Flags outpost in New Jersey, is typically soft drinks, but this Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, vintners from the area will offer samples of their wines at the park's Six Flags Grape Adventure (nice name!).
There will be 150 wines available to taste, food samples from area restaurants, and live music--but, sorry park-aholics, no coasters. The theme park will be closed. But the Wild Safari, which is where the event will be held, will be open. Guests can purchase tickets to the wine tasting event alone or as a package with a VIP Wild Safari tour. For more info go to the Six Flags site and enter "WINE" in the promo code. Don't even think about getting tipsy on all of the wine, sneaking into the park, and demanding a ride on Kingda Ka. It's closed for the season.
