The (sorta) brand new Legoland Florida opened over the weekend. Built on the site of the former Cypress Gardens (and retaining its iconic gardens, among other holdovers), the park is geared to the 12-and-under set. Like its sister parks, it offers lots of interactive, hands-on, family-bonding activities and attractions.
Will it succeed in Florida's congested park corridor? Given the phenomenal success of Legoland California (which, like its Florida counterpart has plenty of competition and is located off the beaten path), my guess is that will do quite well.
