Official Web Site: SplashDown Waterpark Overview: A municipal attraction that is owned by Prince William County, SplashDown is a 13-acre, medium-sized water park. It doesn't offer the marquee features of larger water parks, such as bowl rides or surfing simulators, but it does offer the usual suspects of water slides and other watery diversions, albeit not a whole bunch of them. Keep in mind, however, that admission is fairly reasonably priced compared to the big parks, and SplashDown can offer some welcome relief, along with wet fun, on hot, humid days. Among its collection of rides are two Cannonball slides, two Tropical Twister slides, and a lazy river (which has the creative name, "Lazy River"). There are some pint-sized slides and activities for younger visitors, and older kids will enjoy challenging the log walk and lily pad walk. In addition to its water park attractions, SplashDown offers volleyball, tennis, a sand play area, and a snack bar. SplashDown serves double duty.
