Dolly Parton may be best known for certain parts of her anatomy, but next year she may be better known for her wings -- or more specifically the new wing coaster at her namesake theme park, Dollywood. The park is billing the thrill machine as the "first of its kind in the U.S.," which is a bit of a stretch. A few days ago, I wrote about X-Flight, a wing coaster at Six Flags Great America that will also be debuting next season. While Six Flags got the jump on Dolly's park by revealing its plans earlier (and I was careful to describe the Six Flags ride as the first announced wing coaster in the U.S., since it had been rumored that Dollywood would be building its version of the thrill machine for next season), the Tennessee park plans to open its ride a few weeks before the Six Flags park. Regardless of the bragging rights, the wing coaster concept looks fascinating, and it appears that both coasters will be great additions to both parks. Read more about Dollywood's Wild Eagle.
